CDP-Choline
Cytidine Diphosphate Choline is the active Lipotrope form
of Choline normally produced within the body from Cytidine, Phosphorus, and
Choline but also manufactured as a supplement (and Pharmaceutical drug).
CDP-Choline alleviates Cerebral Insufficiency.

CDP-Choline retards the further progression of Alzheimer’s Disease.
CDP-Choline increases Blood Circulation and Oxygen utilization within the Brain:
CDP-Choline is used as a Brain circulation stimulator to treat disturbances of
consciousness that may follow a Brain injury (e.g. Concussion) or Brain surgery.
CDP-Choline vere is helpful in the treatment of severe Depression.
CDP-Choline is speculated to be beneficial for the treatment of Dyskinesia
CDP-Choline improves Learning ability.
CDP-Choline improves Memory (especially in subjects with Memory impairment)

CDP-Choline is a valuable co-therapy for Parkinson’s Disease.
Endogenous CDP-Choline is an intermediate step in the production of endogenous
Phosphatidylcholine.
CDP-Choline: The New Form of Choline
CDP-choline stands for cytidine 5-diphosphocholine. This Unique form of choline
readily passes through the blood-brain barrier directly into the central nervous
system. Once past the blood-brain barrier, CDP-choline activates the synthesis
of critical components in cell membranes, boosts levels of neurotransmitters
such as acetylcholine, and enhances Cerebral energy metabolism.
By boosting mitochondrial energy production, CDP-choline causes the
re-absorption of cerebral edema caused by trauma or stroke
Toxicology studies have shown that CDP-choline is safe and produces no serious
cholinergic side effects. It is well tolerated in doses ranging from 500mg to
1,000mg a day.
The multiple mechanisms of action of CDP-choline indicate that it may be
suitable in the treatment of various forms of cerebrovascular disease, head
trauma, and some types of brain aging. CDP-choline exhibits a neuroprotective
effect where there are blood flow deficits to the brain caused by trauma and
stroke.
In studies carried out in patients with head trauma, CDP-choline accelerated
recovery form post-traumatic coma and restoration of walking ability. The CDP-treated group demonstrated better functional results and reduced hospital
stays. In patients with less-severe head trauma, CDP-choline improved cognitive
and memory deficits.
